have you heard about sit on the floor?

there was much talk of advertising and promotion this week, posters have been put up around the town centre, anthony suggested contacting a certain national magazine as they had sponsorship advert within their back pages. on this sunday 13th august 2000 there is to be a radio roadshow at the olympia ice-rink, someone knows the dj and is going to try and arrange something with him. local and national newspapers will also be contacted to see if there is any interest. if you want to help us out take a look at the advertising page

music time

there are 2 gig nights now confirmed, the first is on friday 18th august 2000 and features kiness with support from useful idiot, the second is on saturday 2nd september 2000 and is going to be special, it is the tribute night, it begins at 17:00(!) and a total of six bands will play, until around 21:30, ice cream will be available to buy at at least one of the gigs.

there was a short article about sit on the floor in the 'east kilbride world'. thats all consideration was given to the idea that the cd should change to incorporate all genres of music instead of just indie/rock, this was decided against. it was however, agreed that we should expand the area from which bands can come from, this will give us a larger choice of bands and also allow a larger area to sell the cd in.

do you want to be famous?

there is to be another day of auditions, likely to be the 15th of august so if you are a band and want to try out see the audition page for more details. a banner is going to be made to decorate the stage at gigs, we also considered linking a computer to the projector to give moving images but this is unlikely to happen. there are now desktop wallpaper's and a screensaver available to download if you like that sort of thing, if you are a subscriber to the mailing list you will already be aware of this.
